Beer thread is the standard threading used on commercial Sanke keg couplers and beer faucet shanks. It is commonly measured as 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1" in the U.S.. Although the difference in measurement can be quite confusing, you can trust that "beer thread" fittings will be compatible with your shanks and couplers.
